My Education

I graduated in December 2021 with my AS in Computer Science from Glendale Community College in Arizona. During my degree, I worked on multiple projects. 

• One of them was building a Lego robot "Poop Scoop" with a team. It was able to be controlled and could pick up poop with a bag on claws making the process for us a lot less messy! My primary job was the programming and calibration of movement. This project was successful.

• Another project I worked on was building a rocket in teams of 2 that would take off and successfully release a shoot after descent began. I was in charge of being sure the wires were configured properly and that the parachute would successfully deploy. Our launch and parachute release was perfect but we lost our rocket as it landed in a 3rd party private property.

• Lastly, I did several programming projects. One is on My Creations that I made using Python and it was a text-based game "Xianthium". It was to show that we could create something that not only had follow-through based on user input but that also showed what we enjoy and our expertise.

I graduated in December 2021 with my AA from Glendale Community College in Arizona. During my degree, I took many classes that helped me learn the world more.

• One class I took during my time was Introduction to Education. During this time, I volunteered at Heritage Elementary School with a 5th grade class and learned what goes into not only being a teacher, but also being a role-model and support system for students. 

• Another class I took several semesters of was American Sign Language. While taking these classes, I spent a lot of time not only interacting with many wonderful deaf and hard-of-hearing people, but learning the culture and how much we have done so far and have yet to do to make everyday tasks accessible for everyone.
